As a school board trustee, I have focused on improving student achievement, expanding learning opportunities, and advocating for safe, inclusive schools where every student can succeed.
Student achievement
Advocated for student achievement to remain a priority in board decisions, with attention to academic progress, strong foundational skills, and support that responds to individual learning needs.
Expanding access to IB and AP programs
Advocated for expanding access to International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) programs, giving more students opportunities to challenge themselves academically and prepare for postsecondary education.
More learning resources and support
Proposed additional learning support and advocated for resources to help students strengthen their skills, close learning gaps, and build confidence. Every child deserves timely help when they need it.
Student safety and well-being
Made student safety a priority, advocating for safe, respectful, and welcoming learning environments that support students’ physical safety and emotional well-being.
Mental health
Continue to advocate for the importance of mental health and develop policies to address mental health concerns proactively.
My commitment is clear: help every student achieve, ensure every student feels safe, and give every student the opportunity to thrive.
